Stingray belong to the family of sharks.
However its body is flattened and except for its eyes which are on the upper side, its mouth, nostrils and its gill openings are on its underbelly.
It is usually found in shallow coastal regions.
They feed mostly on the bottom living animals of the sea. Stingray swims by moving its body like a wave.
It has a tail and it is its defence mechanism.
The tail has a barb and its produces venom which is strong enough to be fatal to humans.
